Gerald Neily will be on today’s Marc Steiner show

We’re as curious to hear what he says as you are

Brew contributor Gerald Neily is going to be on the radio – today at 5 pm.

He’ll be discussing transportation on The Marc Steiner Show ( WEAA 88.9 FM). Among the other guests scheduled along with Gerry:  Christopher Field, President of the Transit Riders Action Council, Michele L. Whelley, presdient and CEO of the Central Maryland Transportation Alliance, and possibly a representative of One Less Car.

Lots of transportation issues in the news lately, from the stranded MARC train (aka “the Hell Train”) to the Charm City Circulator. And, of course, there are big-bucks perennials like the Red Line and the ICC.

Somehow transportation has become the “it” issue this summer, in the gubernatorial election and on the airwaves and in the blogosphere. With this group assembled, it could be a very lively discussion.

Here’s how Steiner’s folks blurbed it on their eblast.

Tonight at 5pm we tackle the big questions surrounding Maryland’s transportation system.  How can we overhaul public transit to make sure it serves the needs of everyone in the state?  What’s the future of the MARC system, the InterCounty Connector, and the buses in Baltimore?  Should we devote more resources to rail, roads, or bike trails?  Join our panel of transportation advocates and experts and share your experiences with public transit by calling 410.319.8888
