Go biking with the Brew Crew

Above: Biking on city streets is fun, and a little mellower on Sunday mornings. That’s when this Brew bike ride will roll……

Want to meet some of the people who serve you your daily Baltimore Brew? Got a bike and some curiosity about Baltimore’s industrial past?

Then check out our annual May Day Roll, set for this Sunday, May 1 and co-sponsored with Baltimore Bicycle Works. Reporter and historian Mark Reutter will be our guide as we whiz all around the city, stopping at former mills, the homes of mill workers and the site of labor riots. (You know, Happy May Day, Workers of the World!)

At the end, we’ll ride our bikes through Greektown’s ghostly Crown Cork & Seal Building, once “The Bottlecap Capital of the World.”

Along with the tour, you’ll get donuts, coffee and juice (at our starting point, Baltimore Bike Works on Falls Road) and at Ikaros Restaurant, you’ll get a three-course lunch, a veritable Greek feast.

Go here for a larger post about what you’ll be seeing and here to just sign-up.
