BOARD OF LIQUOR LICENSE COMMISSIONERS FOR BALTIMORE CITY (12/5/13 press release)
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
December 5, 2013—The Board of Liquor License Commissioners found 10 licensees guilty of serving or selling alcoholic beverages to underage Baltimore Police cadets on Thursday at City Hall.
The Liquor Board found the following establishments guilty of underage sales at the December 5 hearing:
Club 4040 Liquor & Grocery, 2139-41 Pennsylvania Avenue
Corky’s Liquors, 5404-06 York Road
Rosen’s Liquors, 5411 York Road
Stadium Lounge, 3351-53 Greenmount Avenue
Waverly Tavern, 3801 Old York Road
Capital Lounge, 1531 Pennsylvania Avenue
Sugar Hill Tavern, 2361 Druid Hill Avenue
North Café, 3716 W. Belvedere Avenue
Zen West Roadside Cantina, 5914-16 York Road
Peppers Liquors, 5440 Reisterstown Road
Each of the violations were cited during a sting conducted on October 4 by BPD’s Vice Unit. Since none of the establishments had not been charged with sales to minors in the past three years, each establishment was fined $500 and charged a $125 hearing fee by the Liquor Board.
