Homicide detectives have an arrest warrant out for the suspect in last night’s shooting death of Ramon Rodriguez.
The 21-year-old was shot in the head at Gough and Lehigh streets in Greektown. Police say the victim and suspect knew each other – and the homicide is not believed to be related to the recent spike in gang-related and retaliatory violence.
This is the 22nd murder in Baltimore since June 21. There have been more than 50 shootings during this period, mostly confined to West Baltimore and the northeast side.
Last Thursday, police reported another shooting in the southeast district, which includes Greektown, on the 200 block of South Broadway in Fells Point.
